I really just need to get the hell away from my family for a few years...I just wanna work and get an apartment or somethin, and chill...

I've seen most of North America, and Montreal is one of the nicer cities to live in..
When its vacation time, Cali is the place to be!

Hmm I live in Georgia, but I've also lived in Canada and I'd take 100 degree weather over -20 degree weather anyday.

Anyway, back to topic. I'd really like to travel around Canada sometime. I've been to BC but that's it. I've seen some really nice pictures from Montreal, etc.
so...do you have to have citizenship to live there?...

as being an US citizen/permanent resident you don't have to worry about many things, unless you want to go to Iraq or Pakistan ;)

The place in Canada where the legal drinking age is 18 is the good ol' province of Alberta. I live in BC but Luckily, i live only 2 hours away from a nice town in Alberta so i just take some friends and we go there and get pissed.

The two places drinking is at 18 are alberta and quebec. I wouldn't move to eihter though. Alberta is farming and quebec is a bunch of french people, so better know french or your shit out of luck.
well dude it will be harder then you think to become a canada as i've found out its really hard to become an american. Basically you have to marry a canada. Otherwise you dont qualify because youlife in a great country already. Best of luck thouhg dude.
Right now i'd do as i'm doing, looking for a chick who lives in teh country i want to move to:cool: well if it works out that is..

you're right about the drinking age..
I live in Quebec (prov), go to a french university, and still in an average day, I wont need to speak a word of french. Especially if you live in Montreal.. Where its bilingual -- mostly english.

Well, he can get an education visa for like 3-5 years which permits him to goto college/university and live here.
He'll get all the benefits of a canadian citizen for that time I believe!
