i was just wondering, i have a 95 civic lx with the basic IHE setup with the addition of MSD 6AL ignition, 9.3 mm spark plug wires and NGK iridium ix spark plug...can i beat a SOHC Vtec civic...both auto & manual? I have an AUTO by the way.

The plus side is the auto will give you a more consecutive run, with less room for errors. So if you race someone with a manual you have a better chance of winning probably.:yes:

If you can't beat one now with the i/h/e (you cant)
the msd won't help you at all.
throw a 50 shot on there then you'll win.

keep in mind your not gunna find anyone who will race you that doesn't already have a i/h/e. so as much as it helped your car it'll help the one that breaths better even more.

and as far as auto being more "consecutive" ( i guess you meant consistant) NOT A CHANCE the tighter gear ratio's in a ex or si will eat your lunch.

Eat his lunch? I don't think he said his auto was faster. He said consistant(consecutive).

With the mods you have it would be close. Definately a driver's race.

I know many people that will race anything in stock cars. I watch my friend beat a stock V6 mustang in a Stock 95 civic LX..Goes to show that you are wrong..:rolleyes:
