I have a 2002 civic ex, i want more power but i'm an everyday commuter driver, so i don't think turbo is a good idea, and i can't seem to find a supercharger... Where can i find what engines fit in my car, the prices, and where to buy them? Also, how much would it take just to swap the engines... or if you have any other suggestions, feel free to tell me.

hmmm, try jdm1.com , but judging by the year of your car there is no engine that will swap and be legal at the same time. the engine has to have less miles and be newer or the same age with the car

I don't think mileage has anything to do with it, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure. The only way your probably going to find an engine that'll be legal is call all the junkyards in your area and ask if they have any new totaled CRVs cause thats about the only engine that can drop into your year car. You'd probably be better off getting a Greddy turbo kit that can be easily be used on a daily driver.

The crv still uses a B-series engine unlike the Integras(RSX's) or the new SI's. Or you could go with a new prelude engine pretty costly though. Then again I could be wrong about all this, and maybe its easy to bolt in the new k engines.

no the new crv's dont use a b series engine.....its a K series as well.

the K series swap into a 7g civic coupe has been done now, so you could swap in a new civic Si engine or an RSX Type-S engine....blah blah. its going to cost you a hell of a lot though, you can be sure of that.
if you wanted something quick, you shouldnt have bought that 7g - unless you dont mind spending SEVERAL thousand on a K series motor + swap (probably about $8k installed - since its only been done a couple times)

new prelude engine? preludes are gone y0!

miles dont matter, just has to be same year or newer.
and he could use a 2k2 RSX engine or the Si engine - itd be legal. but costly as hell. not worth it right now at all.

Damn I thought 2002 was the last year for the prelude.
i guess 2001 was the last year the crv used the b20, like i said I could be wrong. Damn what is honda doing??? My advice would be to wait a few years until the new engines become affordable, and people figure out how to do the swap for cheap. In the mean time get a turbo, they do make those for the 2002's right?!

even if noone actually makes a turbo kit, you could always piece one together yourself - itd cost less that way as well and you can buy the parts YOU want.
