I have decided to get a camshaft, valve springs and retainers from crower...just not sure which one yet...the stage 2 non turbo looks right, seeing if anyone has installed these on the D16Z...also going to put in cam gear and unorthodox pullies at the same time. give me some pointers

um, the stage 2 on h22's ive only herd good from. never anything from a d16 but go for it, if its anything the same, the results should be awsome. i wouldnt reccomend getting a crank pully cause it removes the harmonic dampener and tears the engine down fast. but PS and ALT pullies are good. if crower makes a cam gear for your car... go for it. if not, try skunk2 or aem.

I'd get the Gude head package. Includes the cam, gear, valvetrain, and p&p.

The D16 is the original. Their SOHC are much better than the DOHC, because the cam is better. I like it because it's a package, and everything will be matched for optimum performance- the cam to the port and polish, valvetrain to take the higher revs, etc. You'll get a lot more out of a Gude package than you will with just a cam and cam gear, for about the same price.

i saw the gude package for like 1600 dollars...with the core, which i heard is a pain to get back. i thought that was a good idea, and probably easier to put in since the valve springs are probably already in place and set right for the cam? well we'll see how much coilovers and everything else is going to cost.
