View Full Version : Drag Strip ???

Ok this confused me, and I cant seem to figure it out. Today I took my friends civic (described in another thread) out to the drag strip for a bit of legal fun... anyways I made a few passes, then was told I had to park it outside the garage area... the security guy didnt give me any kind of explanation... why was I not allowed to run any more, there weren't many other cars there... Im all confused now and rather upset than with $15 I only got to run 4 times... I have read on supraforums.com of other people also being told to park it... why is this?

Naw that cant be it. I was also asked to park it one night in my Highlander... I can kinda understand that cause the SUV is slow as crap and it was a busy night. But the other day nobody was there and it was running high 14s, so thats not too bad. I dunno, can anybody shed some light to this? Im not going back til I have some clue why I cant race more than 4-5 times.:rolleyes:

Never had that happen.

Sounds like they were being dicks. I don't think they'd ever do that crap around here. Why wouldn't they give you an explanation? I'd be trying to get some money back.

yeah, tell them either they tell you why, or your getting back in the staging lanes. your not cuting cars off at the end of the strip are you?

You werent Speeding in the pits, or doing something like that were you? I dont know why they woulda done that unless they saw something wrong with the car or something.. I woulda made them tell you what was up.

I was idling around pits, and since I lost to everyone I raced:D I couldnt have cut anyone off at the end... oh well I wont go back there til I get another car, cause I already know Im slow as crap and I dont need everyone in the stands knowing it too!;) ... Ive had so many people ask me how fast my car is, and that it looks fast cause it has wide tires... haha gotta love the ignorance of the masses, makes me smile every day!:)

They say the highlander looks fast? I just dont see many SUVs as fast, I know they can be made fast if you really want them to be. But a fast SUV is something that takes you by surprise not something that you would expect.:D

Oh I understand that completely. Its just because the tires are much wider then stock and low profile, and they are High-performance tires. Thats why I said the "ignorance" of the public, cause the PUBLIC thinks it looks fast, not the people that know anything about cars like you and the other people here.
