Sup Fellas, this is an update to my car which I hope will run in the nearest future possible. As i was about to put in my JG block, we noticed that there were some flaws in the block. There were spacing between the ductile and the sleeves. Also cracks within in the sleeve. I was informed by JG that that happens sometimes and that it is perfectly OK. I told him that that was not acceptible and he agreed to make a new block. He said this would take another week. So i took this misfortune or should I say oppurtunity to replace my 75.5 mm SRP pistons with a set of 79mm JE Pistons and make my litlle 1.6 SOHC to a mighty 1.8 SOHC. He said i had to pay the difference of the JG and SRP Piston. WHich came out to 200 dollars. Ouch!! Im really really broke right now.. Donations being exvepted. = ). hehehe. THe bad news is that the JE pistons are in backorder and my block will be done for a month.... I am hoping that "No REPLACEMENT FOR DEPLACEMENT" really is true because I am hoping to gain instant horsepower and torque. But yeah this is the story.. SO WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?????

I think you will get a good HP increase but the Torque will not change much. Just curious What where your Hp ratings with the turbo on the EX. Looks nice I agree no replacement for displacement ;) ;)

Hp and torque will increase everywhere in the rpm band when you go to a larger bore. I curious to what you put down im soon doing a sohc motor for a friend of mine. He currently has a Greddy kit but that only satisfied him for a few months.
