My sister got the phone the other day and got so frustrated with it (I dont know why), that she sold it and got the Motorola V70. IT IS TOO COOL. Feels like a kids toy though....

yeah, whats great is i just programed my whole phonebook to be voice activated, and did my 60+ names with over 100 numbers.. all voice commands... then programing in rings and setting up online services on the phone, only to take it back.

i'm on the "free time package" but when i signed up it was $25/month. So i added caller ID for a total of $28/month. now i see the package starts @30 yikes. Oh and i got my phone for free because i signed up when it was Clearnet and had one of their original phones.

Yeah GSM is kind of new for US, but most of the Europe uses GSM and NMT. I think the GSM network rock is they're setup correctly

Uhhh....not exactly. As far as digital service goes GSM is pretty much just as old in the US as any other digital service, maybe even older than CDMA and TDMA, but I'm not sure on the actual age. The thing holding back GSM in the US is that there is no national carrier offering GSM right now. AT&T is trying to migrate to a GSM national network, but I've heard they're having issues and keep delaying the migration. And spectrum, courtest of the FCC.
GSM has its strong points and weak points. I like GSM and all, but it does take much more bandwidth than CDMA and costs lots more to set up GPRS than the 1xRTT that CDMA uses.

GPRS thats the thing thats not fully set up in my area..... they have the major areas covered, but neighbor hoods and whatnot are dead zones.
