in my 2000 civic Si today. Everything went well, and the starter works great. It's a 2000AS Compustar alarm with lcd remote pager. Any questions on a starter on a manual tranny, just ask

Well it also locks them as you go away..
It's called a proximity sensor (function required to do this.).
The name of the alarm, I cant remember. I'll ask him and let you know.

Sounds more like passive arming (or whatever its called) when the car arms itself a certain amount of seconds after the car doors are closed, which would look like it arms when you walk away fromthe car.
I dunno..i could be wrong, but ive never heard of such a feature.

Well I think the proximity sensor detects how close somebody is to the car.
Except in this case, it aslo detects how close/far the remote is from the car.
So when he gets real close to the car it it unlocks and vice-versa.
Still didnt ask for the name...
