well I was messing around yesterday and went to remove my lugs on my ride to switch rims and the nuts were really hard to remove and upon torquing them I wrung off 3 of them and I think striped out 1 stud completely.
The only real ? i have here is how hard is it to replace a stud? any info or link on a DIY for this would be great. I have a Haynes/Chilton Manual but haven't looked at it yet I figured I would ask here first before I found that...
Thanks for looking and info will be greatly appreciated....

Same thing happened to me....sort of, except I put on pressure as I was removing them and it cracked off. The part cost 4 dollars...the labor, A LOT! The compete job cost me 210 dollars. This is a price from the Honda Dealer though. They have to take apart everything, the brake, disc, etc. to get in there are replace the stud and then put everything together again. I watched him do this and it is something that I could never do...so many parts, I wouldnt know where to begin. IMO, pay to have it done...right. I tried to drive for a short period of time with my cracked stud and my wheel almost came off. Be careful!

Did you have any kind of service done where the shop would remove your wheels? If so and you didn't mess with the rims since then its their fault and they should have to pay for getting it fixed. This happened with me at midas, btw never take your car to a midas to get work done more than likely your car will come out worse than when it went in. If it was you fault then I'd go to a brake specialist place and have them replace the studs. And again DON'T GO TO MIDAS.
