hey i had somebody offer me a really good deal on a 95 gs-r. well the car/motor has 307000 miles on it. if i had the valve train rebuilt and the block ie pistons, rings, rods, replaced would it be a reliable engine. its never been raced and its all highway miles. also was planning on sleeving for future turbo. i think it would be just fine but if ya guys think otherwise let me know and ill just get a new engine.

Is that a typo or did you really say 300,000+ miles???

Damn, I didn't think any motor's could run that long........just get a new engine, it'd cost less anyways then completely rebuilding the current one.

i saw civics with "Only 450000 miles!" and still running. that car was a display for one of the local honda dealers.

Thats a s@#% load of miles but it would be a great car for a swap. Or if you are going through the trouble of getting the block rebuilt just go to import builders and buy a block from then. Then you could shit the head away and for about 1700 have a fully built street/race head.
