Umm... I'm not sure on this, but considering all new luxury cars have xenon or blue halogen looking lights, I dont think you'll get pulled over for it. I'm not exactly familiar with what xenons look like, though I'm sure lots of people have em. go for it.

as for list of illegal stuff, I havent found one yet, but am always looking. The DOT might have something, but they have the weirdest site. Try asking a cop.

they are *legal* for the cars that come with them..

If you buy a pair that is DOT approved, you'll probably be ok..

Make sure they around 55w and not 85w. Try to stay as white as possible, blue will get you into trouble..

I'm running PIAA's platinum whites or something like that... they are almost purple, thats cause they are really of a pure white.. kinda pricey but worth it. And cops cant do shit about it..

yeah.. just stay within the right wattage range for your car and stick with white lights..

you can buy blueish bulbs but those are tinted and as far as I know they ARE illegal. When you see the blue headlights on the road (usu. on more expensive cars) they aren't blue tinted. They Are HID headlamps- which are legal- just expensive.

I believe the average Xenon bulbs are A-OK.. but the people driving into you will hate you;)

This is probably irrelevant because I live in Los Angeles, but I just got my Xenons. They are 90 watts. They are not illegal here unless they are really really bluie. Blue and red lights are usually illegal because it is "impersonating a cop" or something like that. Good luck.

For Canada/US, if your bulbs are a higher wattage than stock, IT IS ILLEGAL..
