cleaning up my poems and thought i'd share a few...

Few free to whatever, my feeling won't get hurt

1-15-01

Yes And what of this day
And what of this time
When children, nine, no longer play
And Poets, great, no longer rhyme

NO! To the children leave them guns
And the Poets leave them Prose
Let smacked, be the fingers of the Nuns
And let the poets write with their toes

Let us all turn our backs
And let us all read fine Crap
While Children steal, to purchase Crack
And Poets laugh, Labeling us al Saps

For I can type my thoughts on “Word Pro”
And run it through “Spell Check”
Send it off to marketing and before ya know
Here comes back my fat check

And we all should Lobby against Child Abuse
And punish children with all “Time Outs!”
Whoever thought this one up, has a screw Loose
And needs to have their lights punched Out

We All look around for those to Blame
Who made this world so Immensely Lame!
We all blame Somebody, though we may no Show it
Me! I’ll tell you. I blame the Child and the Poet!
