it happened last night between midnight and 5AM. the bastards broke in to 2 cars in the lot. i just finished hooking up my system last weekend. it took me 2 days to install it, to make it professionally looking. i thought i was lucky to have bought a 2-12 inch subwoofer and a 150X2 amplifier both made by MTX. i only paid $150 for both........
the bastards broke my passenger side rear window. they took my 2 amplifiers, an MTX and a Rockford Fosgate, along with the 2-12 inch sub and the face piece of my stereo. they could not pull out the radio since i bolted that unit up pretty tight. they ripped off my center console in pieces, breaking my ventilation louvers. they were dumb! i guess i should be thankful cuz they did not take my APEXi V-AFC, gauges, turbo timer, and mugen shift knob. they unmounted my V-AFC and GReddy Blue box (FMU) but they probably did know what they were so they left it.
what suks is, my insurance has a $500 deductible and i can not find my receipts. today is also my wife's birthday so i'm totally broke. the cops took finger prints.
daym! i never thought that this would ever happen to me. i sure hope theses mofos get caught!.....sorry, just venting:no:

Oh man thermalfi'd16, I'm so sorry to hear that. You're very lucky to still have your gauges, etc. because most thieves would have taken those things.
I hope the cops catch the bastards that did this to you. Keep us updated!

off base, it's actually pretty bad on the base too. it's so easy to know which ships pull out. a few guys on my ship came back with broken windows ans stripped car, with the car sitting on the ground without rims......it slowed down since 9-11 tho....security is way tight now...........
man...bad on base too?...that sucks...

Dont know if this helps at all, but a friend of mine got all his stuff stolen out of his trans am. They took everything quickly and easily cause they knew what was in there beforehand. They knew him and exactly what he had! If you have any enemies or anyone scopin out your car, you might suspect them.
Also, a different friend of mine got his rockford component system, laptop, cd changer, lots of stuff stolen out of his car. It sucked alot, but the first thing he did was go to all the pawn shops and gave them a heads up. They were more than happy to keep an eye out for his stuff. (he never got it back, but you never know.)
Sorry to hear about that man.

dude that sucks.
i know its off no help to you now, but this goes for anyone working on their car.
take pictures of new mods (anything you add) to your car and put a date on it this way you dont need receits all you need is clear pictures of what you had in the car. insurance has to go with it, btw this is also the easiest way to insure a house as you dont always have proof of everything you had in the house the time you are robbed

dam dude that really sucks. Mt. Biker has a point though. My sister and her ex-fiance had a house fire back in October and the insurance adjuster that came out to the house told them that the next house they move into to take pictures of the house when they get it and and mods they do to it. Or anything in the house that is worth a lot. and of course keep them in a fire proof safe or what not. If you got pics you shouldn't need the recipts. Good luck with everything.

Damn man I am sorry to hear, theres nothing anyone can say to make you feel better. All you wanna do is find those #!@%ers, get your stuff back, make them pay your repair bills and then beat the sh*t out of them.
The first time my car was broken into they messed up my dash pretty bad. Save yourself the headache by going to a junk yard and gettin new pieces and if you don't know 100% what u r doing have someone who does put it in for you. I took it to someone who broke my airbag sensor in the steering wheel and the one on the passenger side behind the glove box. They can cost $200 each for just the replacement.
Plus the center console is screwed into place from behind so the entire dash has to come out to install it properly. I tried to do it and was just totally
Make your wife dinner and do all those things you know she really wishes you can do but you don't.. it's not expensive to make a wife happy

geez. that sucks. i hope it never happens to me. my friends car has been broken into before but thats cause he totally flaunts everything he has.
i always keep my subs turned off when im getting close to home so noone knows i have anything. i tell just a few people i have a system. i trust them but i know anyone can break into your car and steal it... i used to have a sony sticker on my back window since i had a sony deck and my friend afor mentioned who got his car broken into kept telling me to take it off cause people would break in... lol... he's the one that got broken into... not me.
oh well. i have no stickers now except my HS.com sticker of course.
a note about insurance... if you have pictures they won't always honor them. reciepts are a must, no matter if you have pics or not. and the most foolproof way is to have your car insured *with* those parts installed. that way they are on the policy with your car so there is no way they can deny they were not there. it will raise your rates just a bit... but hell... your parts are safe.
if i had more money spent on my system i would do that. but my deductible is pretty close to the system's value at this point.. so its not worth it.
loooooong post. oh well. >>Later>>
chris.

Sucks bad... I hate having stuff stolen... vandalism to ones car is by far the most painful non-physical act of violence/agression one can make... really pisses me off
Best thing to do before you put ANYTHING on/in your car... get the BEST security system installed by the BEST intaller in your area... that way all your goodies can be at least somewhat protected:yes:

i really appreciate everybody's comments. pictures would have been a big help. my system is always turned down before i get close to my apartment complex, since the complex does have a policy on loud system. i do not have any stickers announcing my stereo system. the cops did tell me that import cars that are suped up are the prime targets in my area. i was told that 75% of the break in were done on cars that had some some sort of physical modification. i just want to catch the bastards and pull some ninja $h!t on them :).

Sorry to make you suspect your friends in my last post back there, but hey, to quote the xfiles"trust no one". I was more referring to acquientces and people that you dont really know. Anyway, heres one more thing I thought of:
I read that import cars are much easier to compromise. I'm not talking about a slim jim, I'm talking about having a set of repo keys (also known as Jiggler keys). Anyone who is in the know about such things can get a full set of jigglers for around 70 bucks. If your not getting where I'm going with this, they can also be used to break into a car silently and discreetly.
What they are INTENDED for is so repossessers can take cars back, or if your friend happens to lock his only keys in his car (which is why i was interested in these tools, I am not a thief), or for other LEGAL purposes.
What I am thinking is it would be a very smart idea for anyone with a high risk car to do a lock conversions and get decent alarm system. Dont know how to go about a lock conversion, but I'm working on it.....
