'01 Silver paint....

Just noticed today, it doesn't look like my paint is all the same color silver....it looks like there's little shadows all across the car. Hood, trunk, sides, roof, everywhere. It's not very noticeable (obviously if it took me this long to notice), but it just doesn't look like it's all one consistent color silver.

Maybe it was just cuz it was morning light, I'll have to look this evening when I get off work.

I almost think I've seen it on other cars, but I can't quite say for sure.

Anybody else notice it?

Well, it's hard to decribe. I looked at it yesterday afternoon and basically came to the conclusion that my baby needs a good washing, which is probably the majority of my issue.

Then I looked again this morning, and I noticed it more from one direction than from another. I also checked out another couple accords yesterday and kinda noticed it on them as well.

The paint just doesn't look as consistent as it does on BMW or Audi.....almost like the paint wasn't mixed thoroughly before application. I'm just sayin that's what it kinda looks like, not making any allegations or anything. :)

I think I may know what you're talking about. I noticed something similar on my hood. It looks a bit blotchy...

That's strange.... I've never heard of that being an issue with the Accords.

I dunno if that's what Spoogenet was referring to, but on my hood, it looks like smoke is trapped in the paint!

I think what you're seeing is the same as what I'm seeing. I think I already said it kinda looks like the paint isn't mixed fully, it's just not an even silver all across the car, but it's not very noticeable.

I looked at another silver car the other day (non Honda) and it looked a little similar, but I didn't stand around and stare at it as long as I do my own ride.....and I noticed some uneven paint color in a different color car the other day as well.

It's probably just natural paint variation, nothing's perfect.

yeah, ur right about that. i haven't noticed it on other cars, but i haven't examined them that closely either. Although, I get the impression that only silver has this problem. Honda's silver is kinda greyish, not the same as most other silvers...
