my mountain bike mag has a slut on the cover

Well today i got the new issue of Mountain Bike as i pick it up i see some girl on the front who looks like shes never ridden a bike before.

I read the front page and i see this girl is from playboy, oh yay. Now i'm thinking to myself *rob they can't be trying to pull a fast one on ya and be telling you she mountain bikes. Its just not possible*

I quickly flip to the article to find out THEY ARE Exhibit A (http://members.rogers.com/mt.biker911/images/wtf%20is%20happening%20to%20my%20mag/page1.JPG) To sum this part of it up, they find a reason to put these girls in the mag because some guys have asked for it! Well i'm a guy and i dont want to see her in this mag (btw i'm straight)!


As i find article part to I find this girl things she part of the playboy e-treme team. HA i'm sorry hunny but theres no way that little ass has even hit a saddle of a bike let alone a mountain bike! These girls show no signs of ever having riden a mountain bike.

Exhibit B (http://members.rogers.com/mt.biker911/images/wtf%20is%20happening%20to%20my%20mag/page2.JPG) In this part they try and tell me a sweaty, smelly playmate is whats sexy! I dont need to tell any guy not to go down on a girl whos just gotten off a bike its common knownledge. I thought i bought this mag to read about mountain bikes, not playmates who want to be know as x-treme. YOU dont see me walking around with an X-treme t-shirt on. Guess what x-treme is flying down a hill @45-50mph with trees flying by your head about 2 feet away.

Now i dont do that so i dont have a t-shirt that says so. How can these girls get away with this?

I've seen this happen to car mags, first they started off just showing you car parts and the guys in there putting it all together. Then they featured some "real" girls who work on their cars. then boom they're just showing you big tits and small ass with car parts. Now the same dam thing is happening to my mountain bike mag.;( ;( ;(

NOw dont get me wrong i see nothing wrong with looking at a nice looking girl but i dont like how they've now entered a part of my life where they shouldn't be. These high class hoes are going to cut into the spot where the real girls who mountain bike should be. Sadly enough when i goto the races i dont see any of these playboy bunnies standing by bike nor riding any of them. But i do see girls riding bikes in the races some dam fast ones that can ride circles around me, and their the ones getting short changed, like women haven't been short changed enough.

In your Mountain Bike magazine do they have a section where they show letters written by the readers? Maybe you should write a letter to them explaining your feelings on their cover article in the last issue. I did that with People magazine one time and guess what....they actually picked my letter and it was printed. It was kind of cool to see what I had written printed in a magazine that so many people view! :yes:

well magazine's usually put hot, pretty, sexy, cute, attractive women or anything similar to that..because 2 words...

"SEX SELLS"

itz true......b/c first off, the company will get its normal customers that buy their magazines every week...and to attract new customers...they put hot women (and for female magazines, hot guys).....they're doing it to make more money...

b/c honestly...would you pick up a magazine you've never seen before if it had an unattractive woman on the cover?...or would you pick a very attractive woman that can catch your eye??...

honestly i dont pick up the mags i read (all mountain bike related) because of the girl(s) on the front. I've been subscribing to these mags for about 6 years! What turns my crank (bike and car part) more is to see a sexy bike, a bike on the cover that i haven't seen before will get me to pick a new mag up. If i wanted to see sexy girls i would take the 4 foot walk into the xxx section and buy one, but seeing how i dont i come to the conclusion i dont want her on the front of my bike mag

Like the others have said SEX SELLS its as simple as that! Sure not every guy picks stuff up for chicks (or they wont admit it) i know we are all guilty of it at one point or another. But the majority of guys will pic up and read if not buy a magazine cause theres a HOT chick on it! Just write them a letter if ya dont one of my favorite sayings comes into play "if your not part of the solution your part of the problem" basically write them or dont ***** cause you didn't do anything so you have no right to *****. what the company is trying to do is that they wanna attract new customers since they kno that the old customers will still buy the mag.....so they can make more sales by getting new people to buy their mags....
