Ok, some say to start with a warmed up car, some say not to... I haven't noticed a diff.
Turn off all accessories.
Pull negative batt cable for around 5-6 minutes just to be safe (takes less than that)
Turn car on w/o touching gas or anything else
Let idle for 10 minutes or so
Turn off

you can take out the fuse in the engine bay rather than disconnecting the battery i thinks its a 15 amp fuse check the box.

1/2 hour seems WAY too long.... I've never had a problem with 10 minutes, but i guess it wouldn't do anything but waste gas.

Ok, so what I did was before I went to sleep last night, I disconnected the negative battery terminal and left it that way over night. This morning, I woke up, reconnected it, started my car and let it stand for 15 min. So....should the ECU be reset now?

This is probably an even dumber question........What is the actual purpose of resetting the ECU. The only thing that 've heard was so that you rengine relearns how you drive. Is that an accurate description or is there some more that I'm unaware of.
Thanks

I believe that it just basically slightly remaps the fuel curve.
