i was thinking about this. im not going to do it but i was curious.
If i went to a junkyard, found a supra with a working engine but body in bad shape how much could i get it for u think, and how much to make it a sweet ride again.

how much on both sides depends on the damage. tough to give even a broad estimate.

well if the car got into a junkyard then i think you'd be better with buying one

dood i got a 89 supra single turbo and its a blast to drive, of corse it knocks now, i was too hard on it, donuts = dry pavment, redlined for long periods of time ect.. hell i drove it for 2 years and i dont think i ever shifted unless i was at full boost. now it just sits in my basement. from the looks of it, its hard to work on, lil space in the engine bay.

I'd like to do a lil work to it and make it silly fast.

Just get done watching Fast & Furious?

All depends on the condition.

i think it kinda hard to find the newer model supra from a junkyard, if it does i dont think you will be able to find an engine as good as the one in the fast and the furious. Even if you find out from the junkyard, you must have plenty of cash to spare and hella time.

But looking at what they did, it would depend on what you have access to. They bought the car, maybe around 5 G's. They did all the work (in the movie). So if you had a few friends to help you, had the time to fix all or most of the body panels, plus painting. If you did the work, maybe about 2 G's in body parts, depends on what you have to replace or fix. Plus say about 1 to 2 G's for a GOOD paint job, unless you can do it yourself. Then if you just fixed the engine, not all crazy turbo, but a few upgrades, maybe 1 to 2 G's. If you go turbo crazy at least 3 to 4 G's more. Your looking at 10 to 15 G's, maybe more. Now I'm just saying IF you access to a shop + friends to help + a decent shop with fair price's + you do the work. Now you also have a wrecked title on the car. Witch means you will NEVER get what it's worth. A bad title hurts the value, but a wrecked title kills it. For 15 to 20 you should be able to buy a used one. I've seen them on the Net with 60,000+ miles and nothing done for 20.

Dude, you forgot the frame work... most likely if it's in a Junkyard, the frame is bent... and if the frame is bent... THEN GOOD BYE .... I'm sorry but few people have the time/patience/and skill to fix a bent frame.. and a repair shop will cost at least another 5K if it was in the condition that the F&F Supra was In...

I knew I forgot something, thanks. Well add another 5 G's to it. But to point out something about the frame. I have a friend who bough a Civic that had the front part of the frame messed up, just enough to that he could get the car for about 4G. With out the frame damage it would of been closer to 9. His pop's friend took it to his shop & fixed it for about 800 bucks. It would of been allot more if he didn't have the connections. So it can come down to who you know that makes the finale amount of money you have to spend. Just to let you know the civic only had about 45k on it.
