I'm in NY and I LOVE it!!!! I get service everywhere! Places my Nextel never got service ex. underground garages, elevators. They have for 4.99 extra a month you get unlimited nights and weekends thats the greatest thing in the world. I am very happy with AT&T Wireless. The text messages kick ass too!!
I wish I got a cut on the money AT&T is gonna make if you use them

Ya I have AT&T over hear in Wahington and its pretty good. Only thing that sucks is that you pay $4.99 a month for only 100 out going text-messages, I go WAY over that!!! and its costs me a ton of money

I don't like how most of their network is analog, thus no fancy digital features such as caller id, VM, etc. Most, but not all, of the places I'll go will have digital. The home calling area stuff sucks, I do like the roaming with Sprint, which is what I currently have.
AT&T hasn't rolled out the GSM yet, from what I hear. It's all still TDMA or analog, they haven't figured out yet when the GSM will be available, they keep pushing it back. When they do go GSM, I may switch to them.
I've heard too many horror stories about Verizon....
