hello everyone , i am new here and new to car performance . so here is my question . i am concidering a turbo , supercharger , or possibly an engine swap . what are the differences or difference between a turbo and a supercharger . ive got a '97 civic lx sedan and would like to get it to 150 hp under $3000 or even cheaper would be better . im guessing a supercharger or turbo would be a little bit easier than an engine swap , but let me know if i am wrong . which is the safest for everday driving and reliability . thanks .

supercharger is belt driven. turbocharger is powered by wasted exhaust gas. turbocharger can add much more hp on a 4 cylinder with only 1 single disadvantage. turbo lag, but 1st gear goes by so fast you cant even tell....
