Does anyone know the specs for the 96 DX's D16Y7 engine. I called Honda and they wouldn't tell me! They said I HAD to buy the manual. So if any of you have this info it would be much appreciated!

I think your both wrong.. its a 96 DX shouldnt the engine be a D15B and not a D16Y7 If Im not mistaken the Y7 is the Tansmission.?.?.?.? :

No he has a D16(1.6L). They switched to the 1.6 from the 1.5 in the previous gen. Here's a link the specs...

BTW, those weights quoted were for the HB's, he's got an EJ which weight in at about 24xx (can't recall the exact #) ;)

hehe err, yep yer right.....its ej w/ a diff number behind it. so are the sedans....6g sedan is an ej8. 6g Si is an EM. alright im cleared up on that topic now. but i meant 6g hehe :o

WEl I've got info that states:
96-Up Civic CX/DX/LX D15B
96-2001 Civic HX D15Z
96-2001 Civic EX D16Z7
I got that right from www.hybrid-perf.org
So you know which is also posted in a Parts guide from Summit..

Yeah, but I tend to believe Honda. At least I'd hope they'd know what they're putting in their cars.
