Well, your lx will benefit from a good header, but the truth is that I/H/E/cat will all need to be upgraded to notice a good performance difference. I started with intake, and probably will get an exhaust next. Intake gives good gains for the money, so I'd start there.

Thanks guys...i really appreciate it..So a cold air intake seems to be the way to go. Will just having that make any difference? Cuz i'm broke and that's all i can afford right now because i am saving for school..i'm in grade 12..later

Well buddy, things can get pretty expensive. I'm getting GReddy exhaust tomorrow in its gonna cost $550....that's after constant bargaining. I'm gonna get an AEM CAI next....that too will be a bit pricey.
Save your pennies and go with the good non-rice stuff. Stay away from anything that's sold in Pepboys. Peace

GBC has the evo for around 470 shipped...
Anyway, the aem cai will give you a few ponies to the ground, and its a good starting point, but that's it.
