I'm looking to upgrade to 18 inch rims and dunno what tires I should be looking at...
I'm looking for a tire that'll give me good ride quality, good performance and last as long as possible, in that order.
Any opinions, personal experience or hearsay?
Thanks.

Save money on tire and use it to upgrade your rims, then next time you need tires you'll be in a little better condition to get schwweeet tires...
Just my too late two cents, I already got z rated Falkens, I rather of saved some money =P

Huh? I think he's looking to get wraps to go along with his wheels....and if he gets wheels, he's gonna need wraps.
Sorry I can't give advice on tires, but I'm monitoring this for getting advice of my own when I get wheels + wraps

I dunno about that 4jacks,
the way i see it, tires are the best performance, handling and safety upgrade you can do. What other part on your car actually touches the road? (unless ur car sucks, and then maybe ur muffler's on the road!!) To me, I'd rather get better tires...I think it's worth it! At the same time, I don't wanna spend money for performance I won't need...what do you guys think about dropping down to V rated tires? Anyone familiar with Kumhos?

BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KD
Michelin Pilot Sport
Dunlop SP Sport 9000
These 3 are IMO the best..
In wet conditions though, the Michelin Pilot Sport takes it.

you really dont need z rated tires unless you are going really fast, i say save a little money and dont get the z rated. i got nitto 450, they are pretty good. i like them more than the toyo proxes i had.

Z rating and V rating are just speed ratings. If you are able to get V rated tires go for it, when are you going to go over 159mph(I think thats what the speed rating is). All the rating is, is for top speed.
Oh and I have Kumho tires and I like them!!! they used to have shittty passanger tires and thats why alot of ppl dont like them but their performance tires are pretty damn good!!!
