Anyone interested in moderating a particular forum, here's a rundown on what you'll need to do/be aware of:

Take a look at the forums on the main forums page. You'll also see a listing of who is moderating that forum. At this point, we are limiting moderators to 2 per forum (with some rare exceptions). A forum with less than 2 moderators would be one that is open for consideration.
Once you find a forum that you are interested in, fill out the application form link on the Main Forums page.
Following are a list of expectations for all moderators:

In-depth knowledge of the topic to moderate.
Available to check the boards on a daily basis (as daily as possible).
Generate conversations when needed.
Answer questions as able/needed.
Immediate deletion of any rude or derrogatory posts.
Redirection of posts to appropriate category as necessary.

You may also be asked to submit a sample of your writing style, topic knowledge and/or links to posts you've written.

That's the gist of how to become a moderator ;)
Anyone interested, please feel free to send me an email and we'll take it from there.

Thanks,
Chris
