This question is based on what we do NOT know. No one except the Webmaster and Accord Man knows precisely why this forum is led by an Accord owner. This serves to compound arbitrarily asserted possibilities.

The burden of proof is on Ralph, the skeptic, to provide some specific reason to doubt a conclusion that an Accord owner cannot run an Acura Type R forum, but none is given.

It is not true that 'how cans' are an epistemological free lunch that can be asserted gratuitously. The case against Ralph is that doubt must always be specific, and can only exist in contrast to things which cannot properly be doubted. In this, he has failed.

Nobody ever said an Accord owner couldn't run a Type R forum properly. It is merely implied by the skeptic and, therefore, unanswerable without assuming Accord owners cannot run a Type R forums. As such, this is a cheap shot and shouldn't be dignified with a response IMO.

Your call guys...

in my personal opinion i would much rather have a moderator that also owns a type-r i just feel that he will not be as active as a moderator should be and he will not understand lots of the things we talk about because he does not drive our cars on an everyday basis sure he could run the forum not vary hard but it is nice to have somebody that knows about your car and goes through the same things as you plus as on other boards we tend to get together a lot and have type-r meets and go to auto x's ect.. that he will just not be able to attend without feeling like a jackass sorry it came out kind of harsh but this is the way i feel

Who has said that he didn't have a Type R or currently is planning to buy one. Not trying to upset anyone cause "I'm mister Nice Guy" but just because he doesn't say he owns one, doesn't mean he isn't qualified to be apart of this forum.

I have asked to be a moderator, and, as luck would have it, I have a Type-R.

Not sure where all the misconceptions are coming into play... If you will take a look, you will see that indeed, this forum is NOT moderated by an Accord owner - in fact, it's not currently moderated at all. ;)

Hope this clears up any confusion... We're working on setting up a moderator.

Thanks,
Chris

first off why should it matter what car the moderator drives?? the moderator is only there to make sure things are not getting out of hand within the forum and guiding certain threads to where they should belong... hence the word *moderator*
Take this for example.... this site is called HONDASTYLE.. but yet we have DSM's up in here... so should they be banned??? of course not.... this board is used to unite everyone that has one thing in common... the passion for cars.. people come up in here to ask questions or to provide their knowledge.... we help each other out....
I may drive an accord... but i can tell you that my knowledge about cars whether they are domestics or imports is pretty deep... mind you i encounter problems that i need hep in but i usually input a lot in here....

the bottom line is... it doesnt matter what car you drive.. its whats in your head.. and cant forget the passion too..
besides Chief is the one who appoints who moderates what.. he has done a great job.. and the people he has appointed has doen a good job too keeping this site in top shape....

Yeah, they are only available there, and a few other random countries I think can get them.
