Slight Question

My friend removed the "silencers" from my 2001 Honda Civic (EX) and portions of the air box or filter..
Is this damaging in any way? Obviously this will void my engine's warranty, But you should see all of the space I have for making a nice custom intake!
Ideas?

I really don't think this will hurt as long as you leave a filter and the basic stuff. talk to hybrid3d00rcx, he can help here.
