For a 92 SI what exactly would be needed? I want boost but I cant afford those $3500 kits out there. I'm thinking about piecing one together and having the piping fabricated. I know i'll need to upgrade the injectors and pump but what else am I missing? I've got close to 130k on the engine so maybe I should have that rebuilt before anything. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Warnings?

First and foremost, have your compression tested to see how it is. If your compression is good then proceed. If not then you have some work to do.

well, you need a turbine, exaust maifold, down pipe, waste gate, blow off valve, either a front or side mount intercooler, some more shit im forgetting, they sell the kits cheap actualy, if you were to buy a quality setup you'd spen 4000-5000 w/o internal work done. theres no cheap hp in the turbo land.

Its a PAIN... Turbo Times.. Gauges.. Constantly Motoring Engine Temp.. Always High chance of Detonation..

Okay. All you Prelude boosters. What setup do you run and how much has it set you back?

Thanks for the replies on this one. I read somewhere on the net how this guy who owned an Impulse got his hands on an Eaton blower off a Ford and mounted it. Seeing as how SCing is more reliable for forced induction does anyone think the EXACT same blower could be mounted on a 92 SI? Im thinking that if Jackson can do it with the same kind of blower it should be possible. I'll try and track down where I read all this but I do think its possible. The engine he mounted it on was the same displacement as mine-although NOT the same HP. Whattaya think guys. And to touch back on my LAST question. What exactly are you turboed P'ludes running? Rev-Hard? Drag? F-Max? Custom? I dont really care what you spent on it. Pics would be nice too.
