I own a 91 white honda accord ex_r and i have the good ol f22 i believe? SOHC engine which isn't that powerful at all. I was wondering i'm going for looks mostly and a bit of speed to back it up. But for the power Price ratio, whats better? just doing absolutly everything i can to my engine, exhaust, etc. Or doing a swap and doing more stuff to that. I mean i don't have 8000 to spend on a swap 3000 might be my limit for my engine but i could in time and lots of it save up for a swap. 3 years later.. If someone can help me out here that would be great. :| i really just want maybe 230 horse or something not 350..

okay....i'm also wanting to do a swap to my 94 dx...but i have no clue if the h22a (which is a prelude engine 220hp) will fit in your car...i think i might....and the 3000 price you say that you would need to pay is outragious.......i know a company in canada that will fully swap it for you for under 2000. It's a complete swap with tranny and everything. Then you can get I/H/E to add like 15-30hp, or get a big ass tubro and add even more...but if your only looking for about 200 hp then go with the swap...i just need them money and i'm doing it. Gook luck

Do a swap. The Prelude H22A will drop right in. It is a pointless effort to dump money into the F22, it won't ever push 230hp w/o LOTS of money dumped into it. You could probably find a place to do the swap for $3500 installed, maybe less if you get lucky.
