My 2002 Si

ya man my 3rd gear is wack i raced a 2000 si last night and all he had was a CAI "AEM". so we raced and i smoked him 1st gear and 2nd gear then he caught up when he shifted to 3rd and i slowed down when i shifted to third, but i still beat him when i raced him by like a car or half a car. we raced again but i mist 3rd"it's hard to shift to 3rd in a 2002 SI" he beat me that only time.:D

I'm waiting for my 02 SI Veloz to roll off the truck by the end of the week. I test drove it last Friday and was impressed, but really couldn't let er go!!!! What do you think of it. Any warnings b4 I take ownership of it.

If you guys can...throw some pics up in the photo exchange I'm sure a lot of people here would like to see them...as for thrid gear problem..I dunno...Just wait it out...maybe a lot of them are like that?

ok I am not just saying this cause I have a 2000 Si but I heard the newer Si's are slower than the 99-00 year...so I guess that dude you raced couldnt drive or something...who knows but I just thought you would like to know that if you didn't already..

ya i know that people say that it is faster but he drove good i had payed attention to him he was pretty good.anyways there isnt anything wrong with the third gear it's just that i need to get used to it thats all. the only thing that i don't like about the car is that you can't really here the I-vtec, and that the reverse sounds funny. but other than that i love it it is sooo fun to drive. i am looking for some sponsers but the manager was out today at the dealer in diamond bar. i don't wanna void warranty that's why i only want to get sponsored by a dealer. i am the only one that has the car in my city and one onther city next to me.:D

hey is their anyone that knows alot about the 2002 si cause i was just curious. i raced a 4 door GSR and beat him i was happy.hehe;) but i don't think that, that guy can drive. anyways is their anyon that lives in the LA with a SI that is stock that i could race, that can drive?

lol.... i raced another SI today but i don't know wether it was 00 or 99 anyways he had AEM intake and Exhaust but i don't know what kind of exhaust. anyways i raced him up a hill. i beat him hard first and second and he started to catch up in third but i beat him soo bad with first and second that he couldn't catch up. i finally shifted good through all gears and i beat him about 3 cars litterally. anyways he said that he had something else performance wise but i don't remember what it was. is their anyone that lives close to diamond bar in here?:D

I Love Si's! but the 2002 hatchback thing is kinda wack. i thought the 96-00 looked hecka tite but now it's a hatch. blaaaaa . sorry for anyone who has a 02 Si. i like the protege's though :D

99-00 Si ruined it. imo. it should have been a hatch that was the Si. 88-91 Si - hatch, 92-95 Si - hatch, 99-00 Si - coupe? wtf?, 02 Si - hatch with big eyeballs. *sighs*

I like the new 02 SI's. The dealership where I bought my civic at is only getting 3 shipped into them. They've received 2 of them and both sold right away. They aren't even letting people test drive them. I was sooo pissed...I wanted to drive one sooooo bad. I have seen one. I was up at Penn State over the weekend and the one kid up there I past had the goldish one. I was gonna ask him if I could drive it around the parking lot...but I sorta was working a buzz...so I didn't.

I DON'T GIVE A **** about what anyone says about the new hatches...I drove one this weekend...and I loved it...so dope. I'm sure you just have to get used to the exterior. I'm sure people said that about the 92 and 96 hatches right when they came out.
But other then that...they hecka hecka tite.

you're right, i guess i have to get used to the hatch exterior but the Si coupe is tite. my friend's brother had one in electron blue and i checked it out everytime i saw it.

i got a 2002 si and i like it alot. to tell you the truth i didn't really like it in all the magazines and stuff but now that i see it in person and drive it, i love it. it handels soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good it's amazing how good the new si handles you never would of thought that it would handle sooo good. all my friends were like don't get that hatch piece of poop but now that they see it in person they jock it like crazy.lol:D .......... anyways just wait till you see it in person k? i love it P.S. does anyone live in the L.A. area

Our Si in Canada is different then the Si in the states. The Si in the states is the SiR here in Canada. I think that the one that I have is the EX Coupe in the states. I also havesomething called the Veloz package with an upgrade engine. This include skirts all around, carbon fibre instrument panels and the 2.0 DOHC 160 @ 6500

I didn't like the 2002 Si either....until I actually saw the car. I would have never went to the dealership to look at it if not for my wife's urging (I was considering the SVT Focus).

It's a blast to drive...especially after adding the 17" Enkei wheels and Kumho 215/45ZR17 tires... : )

The first dealership I went to gave me that NO Test Drive BS too. I said look.....I'm trading in a 97 Mustang Cobra here. If I don't drive the civic....you don't drive the cobra. As it turns out they only had a black one and a white. So I (my wife) called the local dealerships until we found the silver. These guys just handed me the keys and said take her for a spin....while they drooled over the Cobra... : )
