what's your take on mini trucks?

on another board i'm a member of ( i won't say which ) there was a bunch on trash talking about mini trucks when one of the guys decided to buy one to do the whole mini-truck thing, as in baggin, shaving, the whole shebang. my bf has a tacoma, and since i've been with him i have a totally different view of it i guess cause i'm learning a lot about it.

so my question is what do u guys think of the whole mini truckin thing???

Ok.. Since ive been into it all and Ive done about all of it, and have friends that all do a little of everything Ill tell you the way I see it.

I give most minitruckers mad props.. They are some of the most creative and crazy people youll ever meet. They are never afraid to cut something up, they dont believe in all the luxuries that we take forgranted. Like head room for example... Body droped trucks have to be the most uncomfortable things, but they love it. I say more power to them. Everyone has different tastes, some like speed, others like to cut stuff up, etc.

I say aslong as you do it from your heart, and its your time sweat and money in it who cares what you drive. :yes:

I drive a midsize SUV to race myself... hehe yeah I race a midsize SUV... and I love it... I like the look of a s10 slammed down with a good paint job and nice rims... plus those minitrucks can haul some serious ass when fitted with a proper v8 powerplant and getting the power to the ground properly... anything thats faster than me gets the thumbs up (as long as its street legal):D

racing rice: body dropped trucks are crazy! i've never been inside one, but they look pretty tight. i agree with u about them not being afraid to do stuff. they're pretty crazy! i love it though ;)

Mini-trucks rock when done right! I think s-10's look the best and the old mighty maxes!! few of them around here!

I have a friend that has a Nissan with 5 1/2 inch body drop, it had some chrome 17 inch enkies, suicide & shaved doors, shave and molded tailgate, Flames sculpted into the hood, it was a porsche light blue with airbrushed flamed skulls on the fenders. It had a mustang dash and seats in it, and airbags.. Pretty crazy.. Hes working on a Mazda now that will have 20s in the back and 18s in the front, I cant wait to see this one.

before i had ogt into the Import scene i was into Mini Truckin...when i was 16 i got my first car which was a 94 Nissan Pickup... after 2 years of saving money i envested in rims...candy Apple Red Exterior and 10 switches:) i loved the hell outta that truck...i've still got it tho but my step father drives it:mad:

I love mini trucks...I was thinking of doing one...there isn't one here. I dunno...I just think trucks lowered period looks hella tight.
Even blazers or explorers look tight all pimped out. I think I would like to do one....MAD props to mini truck drivers. Peace

ya i went out to a truck show in california earlier this month and i was really impressed with all the trucks out there. it kinda made me think of buying one myself...not to trade in my lude...but just to have something else to work on. but i think i'd get shunned on my the honda community ;(

I'm gonna say a nice mini-truck is pretty nice...

But I'm going put this on the Table for everyone to chew.... It seems to me that a Much higher percent of people trying to hook up a truck ... just seriously F*** up... I've got some REALLY WHACK arse trucks rolling through my area... I mean you Can't call em Ricers... But their just :pukey It just seems that wanna be minitruckers are the ones keeping Colored Exhaust tips in bussiness and the only ones that will roll around like a hard ass with 12 inch chrome Spoke wheels..... And how do they get those little wheels to stick 9" out of the fender ????

I would really like Minitrucks if I saw a couple of them nicely done.

i know exactly the ones your talking about, i refer to them as the ghetto cholo style trucks. i don't like em. i'm refering to the nice ones on 18 inch chrome, bagged, with nice paint jobs...shaved body... they look so nice... sometimes people confuse the two type of mini trucking that goes on.

Those are lowriders.. They dont really fit in the MiniTruck category, other then the fact they have a small truck.. Lowriders are ok if they are done right.. The majority are :pukey looking, they go way to overboard on some of that stuff like paint, etc...
