how do you install a "e" brake cover..... [Archive]

i need to know how to install a aftermarket "e" brake handle.does it just slip over the old one or do i cut it off??? :confused::confused::confused:

What I (and others from what I heard) had to do to get the E brake handle on is cut the old one off. If you had a dremel (sp??) tool they work fine. Cut it in half from front to back and then wiggle it a bit and seperate it where you cut it in half and VIOLA. it should slip off. That's what I did...and then just slip the other one on and tighten the 2 screws on the bottom of the new e brake handle with an allen key that should have been provided when you bought the handle and away you go....vroom vroom.:wave: buh bye now.
P.S. You have the exact same car as me...so it should work.
