I'm brand new to all this and need some help on a decent security system .......i would like for it to warn ppl when they get too close and it needs to have a light to warn theives to stay away.......i think pre-prevention is a pretty good deterrant.....is this link for a system any good? Here it is (http://cgi3.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsDutchHighBidder&item=1808017174) ;(

The VAMPIRE ... that's what I bought !!!

To be honest, I'm dont think it's HIGH QUALITY... But it works and it was cheap... This guy ELI made it... it say's "Eli Electronics" on the box, and Eli answers all your emails and answers the phone, he's a forgein guy, but he's pretty nice and help me out installing my alarm. I bought the same thing, I'm only using it for keyless entry though. I could care less about an Alarm ... I live in the BOONIES =)

I believe the 550 also has the range extender antenna, and there may be a difference between whether it has a built-in relay or dual-polarity for some of the functions.

They're essentially the same, though.

yes it's a longer range because it's a starter ;]
