I'm planning on swapping my stock 94 dx engine with a h22a engine that i'll get through canada. My question is what should i get done to my stock engine till i get my engines swapped....i wont get the engines swapped till late summer

Intake and exhaust are interchangeable with the H22, but headers aren't.

Like Smitty said, go ahead and do I/E and stop there. Clutches are also interchangeable between the two engines if you wanted to do that.

What's a good exhaust that i should get? I'm thinking about getting a AEM cold air intake.

Get the AEM for sure, but exhaust is largely up to you. They all sound different, but I would recommend a Greddy or maybe a Tanabe... how much are you looking to spend on the exhaust?

I think i'm going to spend my tax return money which sound be like 400-500....any suggestions? That would be for both intake and exhaust

Hmm... does that money have to include the install, or will you be doing it yourself?

If you go for something like the Greddy EVO, you won't have money left over for an intake, so you might have to buy a muffler and pay a muffler shop to run custom piping to it. My suggestion would be to save up a little more.

I've heard a Greddy EVO on a 5th gen prelude (if I remember correctly). It sounded very deep and not raspy at all. I didn't hear him get on it, but it sounds great for city driving.

any1 actually done a swap here? every1 talks about gettin a swap but i have yet to hear from sum1 who has. regardless, from the ppl on this forum, and other places(jdm1.com) the engine swap seems quite straight forward with no mods neccessary, but does this also include the tranny, or will u hav to change the mounts on that, bc i kno the engine mounts do not change. any knowledge on the subject would b appreciated.

There is a place that i've heard of in montreal that is seeling a h22a for 2300 canadian plus i've heard it's like 800 canadian for install. Plus i only live 2 hours away so it works out good. And it comes with manual tranny and everything else i need for the swap, i only other thing i'm going to buy is a clutch kit and shortshifter
