when i'm driving...it'll start jerking then the needle in the tachometer will drop to 0..then oil light goes on and then the engine light goes on....
my parents don't wanna spend money on gettin it fixed since we may get a car for the upcoming winter...but i do need a car til then....what to do??.....any ideas to what this is causing??;(

I had problems with my *shrug* mustang when I owned one. It ended up being my electorinc ignition. It would run...then stop...then it wouldn't start...then it would...then stop...for about 2 days...then we changed it and VIOLA...good as...well...old.

i wanna ask when the rpm's drop to 0 is the engine still running ? the sputtering is either from a bad ignition or fuel delivery system. and when the engine stops the oil light will go on and the check engine will go. that is normal. mine does that when i have the engine running and i take out the central wire from the ignition.
