hi guys..i was just wondering how to wire up my Rockford amp... i got everything else hooked up besides a blue wire that goes to the back of the amp...where it hooks up, it says "REM"...i dont know where to wire that to the HU...anyone know?

yep. the rem is the remote power lead. when you pull the head unit out there should be a wire stickin out of the wiring harness that has been chopped off and sealed with electrical tape. sometimes it is even labeled. connect your rem to that wire and seal it up. when the head unit turns on your amp will turn on. DO NOT hook up the amp with out hooking that up correctly or the Amp could stay on when the car is off draining your battery very quickly.

Good Luck.

Maxvla is right..

The remote wire behind the HU should also be blue.

Its basically a wire thru which a very small amount of current is sent from the HU to the amp. Obviously, when the HU is on..

dynamat is more money than its worth to you right now... id say until you're spending 1,000 or more on a system you dont really need it. spend the money upgrading your components. with your current system you wont notice much improvement except maybe a bit less road noise.
