Hello, i have a 95' Honda Civic and im not real sure if my Vtec is kicking in, is there any sure fire way to tell easly. Also, is there a way to make the Vtec kick in at a lower RPM without buying a Controller??? Thanks

not really... vtec kicks in about 5000 rpms... without a controller.

If you don't have a check engine light on, you're ok.

if you are low on oil the Vtec won't kick in....

If you are uncertain if it is enguaging just ride beside a barricade on the freeway or wall and when you get down on it and the Vtec kicks in you will hear it for sure.....

f you do want to change the Vtec points you would need the assistance of like the Vafc to take advantage of that.
