I have a 2001 Accord V6 coupe. I plan to use my stock shocks with my new coil over. Is this OK to do if not give me some tips.

WELKCOME TO HONDASTYLE.COM and i hope you stay with us

are you talking only about the sleeves right ? it will blow your shocks right away ( a few weeks). try to save up some money and get a good suspension setup like kyb agx with eibach springs or some koni yellows with eibach springs, but do not use coilover sleeves. if u really want an adjustable ride then you need a true coilover setup like tein or skunk 2 or ground control.

yes and no.. all depends how much you lower.... normally if you lower about under 2 inches like around 1.5 you'll be fine... granted tho... if you slam it down.. you'r looking no longer than a few months..... so you'll be ok if you dont go over board and save up to buy better shockes then dump that puppy that has been beggin to get down... ;)

You will blow out your stock struts eventually, so why not get some good ones now? You'll be much happier with the ride quality and handling also. They aren't going to do too much on stock struts.

All u peeps are right. I check my suspension system this morning and the stock spring are small and I do not think I go with stock with coilover sleeve. I going with brand new shocks like KYb ajustable with the coil over sleeves.

If you are getting sleeves, I'd really look long and hard into getting some nicer struts like Koni yellows. They will set you back around $550ish, but well worth the adjustability.

And will save you money and pain on the long run.. (if installed at the same time..)

But in all honesty, if you're going to get nice struts and sleeves, I'd just get true coilovers instead for around the same price (Apex'i WS).
