i read somewhere (only a rumor tho) that in 2004-2005..Honda will have its replacement for the Prelude since itz gone ;( ..cuz i really don't think that the Accord coupe should fill in the Prelude's spot in the lineup in 2003 to whenever......just my opinion....

A replacement for the Prelude?? Hmmm.. Whats wrong with the Prelude thats out now? If sales arent doing all that well with it why would they make something totally new to try to replace it?

They announced last year that they were cutting the prelude.

Ok, that's what I thought. The Prelude was such a great car... ;(

The Prelude was a truly great car.
From what I've heard, they didn't need the Prelude anymore since they have the RSX Type S out there........kind of a merging of the Integra and Prelude.
If they do come out with a new Prelude, it'll plug the gaping hole that the Honda line up has now that the Lude is gone.
I just hope they don't make it all "roomy" like they did the new Civics and RSX, in response to the Ford Focus's success as a "roomy yet sporty" car.

yeah the good thoing about it is that some accords will get the h22 engine so no more swaps for us. i think that engine will be in the US ATR ( they plan on making one for here)

my friend told me that around 2004 to 2006...that Acura may be no more...he said that he heard/read somewhere that Honda may cut the Acura name due to low sales...since people are buying tons of Hondas and very little of Acuras.....you may say.."i see lots of Acuras on the road"...but compare it to how many Hondas you see on the road...you should see a difference...
he also told me that Honda will take some of the Acura cars (even tho they are same family...) maybe the RL, MDX, etc. and name it as Honda RL, Honda MDX...you get the point.....
probably not true..but anything could happen....

umm in europe except the legend everything is honda. honda integra, honda legend (RIP). well expect the price tag of the teggy to go down since it will be a honda, not the luxury division

yes..back to the prelude..
yea they are going to cut the prelude and the H22A engine is going to the accord and a v6 or v8 engine is going to be on the 2003 accord too......lets just hope that it is not going to be a ugly car....:D

i highly doubt a v8 will show up in the accord. the v8 platform is being developed for the honda truck line.

i think car and driver had an article in their last issue saying that honda won't make any v8's or develop a truck line because of the emisssions. they want to remain the "cleanest car company", so i doubt that they will have anything more than v6 in the accord.

heh, they should shove a emmissions thingy up my exaust pipe... i'd hate to see what is says....
