Im looking for wheels to go on my 97 accord. Would 17's be to wide? I dont want the wheels to come past the fender. Flush is what im going for. Should I go 17 or 16?

Depends on if your car is slammed to the ground or not. My friend has a 95 accord with 16s, but its slammed to the ground, so the tires rub the fender almost. Just keep in mind that you can get different profile tires to ensure the look you want. get the 17s though, just get the right size tire... It just all depends on your suspension, the wheels, and the tires.

it doesnt matter how big you go.. just when you get the rims.. just make sure the offset is right.. but most importantly.. make sure the rims width is no larger then 7.5 .... i could be wrong on that... but mine is 7.5 right now.. and i have no problems riding 3" lowered:yes:

yeah, I'd go with 17s only. It defeats the purpose by goin from 15 to 16...one inch makes no big difference. But u can tell a difference in 17s. And 17s won't affect rubbing or be too wide or pass the fender

17 x 7..
With an offset of 40+, 42+ for lower drops..
FOr rubber 215/40 or 215/45, Will sit beautifully!

the offset is where the center peice of the rim ( where the bolts are) is relative to the positioning of the wheel...... for the accords the offset are usually around 40-42+ like accord 94 stated....
so basically the center piece is more towards the front of the rim... hmmm k im reading this and it might be hard to understand.. i'll see if i can get an illustration put up on here....
the best looking size on 17's are either 205/40/17 or 215/45/17
this is without having any type of modification to the body....
with custom body work... i've seen 285/35/18.... or something like that... it was a modified wide body accord... very nice

is it like 40-42 mm from the outer part of thew rim to the part where it touches the hub/drum ? that seems to be right since there are like 4 cm
