Hello,
I am Hondabob and i wanted to introduce myself, from myself. I am 21 and am going to college for Information Tech. I love computers as well as autos (Japanese primarily). I have a '96 Civic Ex. I haven't done much to it due to money and all. I do however have a AEM cold air intake, DC catback and header, and some lense covers. Ohh, and I replace the "H" emblems with cool red ones. My car is black. Ohh, sorry and I have 16" Enki cdr9's, with Dunlap tires. Cool. I am thinkin of getting a new 2002 Civic Si. What do you think. Anyone know anywhere in Colorado that I can get some body work done cheaply? Talk to you all soon.

Thanks to all. I am already learning some good info about my ride and how to improve it as well as improve my driving.
Hey, I want all of your imput on this matter.
I am currently deciding on either buying a new civic si when they launch. I still have 2 years to go on payments for my '96 civic. Do I keep moding my '96, or do i spring for the new 2002 civic si-to mod later? I am torn. I want the DOHC and the 160bhp, as well as the added torque. I would be starting over though. No new intake or exaust and if I did get the money for them, I would be voiding my warenty. Crap. What is a hondabob to do?
Please help!

p.s. I know this stuff is trivial, but I love to drive hard!

Also, I have looked around and I can't find any info on what "heal to toeing" is? Can you help. I want to be all I can be.
Thanks
H.B.

If you have the money, I'd get the new si. Plus you can usually change intake, exhaust, and maybe headers w/o doing anything to the overall warranty of the car. You only void the part that you change (which you won't care about).

Id keep the Civic you have now. Much easier to mod then the ones coming up. Whether you swap, turbo or what ever you can do that with the 6th Gen that you have now. The new Civics are more for consumers then Tuners. With all the changes that have been made to the new civics, Im really not to happy with them at all. If your wanting to do serious mods then Id keep the civic you have now.

Good luck on your decision..

Hey Rice,

If I choose to stay with the '96 Ex SOHC then for any good upgrades I would have to buy a swap right? Can I pull out some sweet stuff with the engine I have? What about savin up for a RSX type S. I think that is my target future car.
Thanks for the support. This board rocks!
