I went to see it opening night and was impressed. They really knocked one out of the park. Robert Downey Jr. played Tony Stark wonderfully, adding humor to movie. The ending after the credits sets up another movie with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) appearing talking about SHIELD.

Definately a thumbs up for me.

I saw it about a week after opening with my girl. She has never been into comics and she loved it. I thought it was great and can't wait for a part 2.

I'm not at all into comics, but I thought it was good...not great. A few guys I work with who are into comics (and older than me, which is just straight up sad) wouldn't shut up about it. Downey Jr. was good in it...but he was the same guy he's always been. You know...that smug asshole kinda guy.

Oh...and waaaaay too many plot holes. Fun if you wanna turn your brain off for 2 hours, though.

You really have to know the comics to get the full effect of the movies. My friends are big comic guys and they can tell you everything that is wrong and right about ever Marvel character out there. I like the stuff, but I'm not that into it. :D

Nor should you be. You're a grown man and have things to do. If you were into the comics as a kid, that's one things...bu tif you still insist they're called "graphic novels" so you don't have to admit you still read comic books, you need to suck a tailpipe.

I have friends that still read comics as adults. Its no big deal to me. Everyone has hobbies, and thats theres.
