So, each time you start the car, you dont see the CEL blink at all? If that's the case, either the bulb is burnt or completely taken out.....

More details would be great.. What method are you using to check the code? If they check engine light isn't on, why are you trying to check the codes?

well i got the light to come on...the bulb was hanging out for some reason...But now when I bridge the terminal to get the codes the check engine light stays on...no flashing or anything? When I just turn the ignition on without it being bridged it works fine ands turns off when the pump turns off. Any thoughs

if it just stays on when the terminals are jumped is normal

Exactly.... maybe there is no code.... is the CEL on while driving normally?

it worked sometimes, but my wife's 1989 LXi Accord was working perfectly, great car by the way, we didn't want to sell it but my sister got it and she's happy with it
