I'm down for it. I see nothing wrong with making people admit to the public who they are and what they do.

I think it's a bit much for a $7 item. I mean it says they did that instead of a 6 month jail sentence. What kind of judge would sentence someone to 6 months even in a county jail for $7? I don't think it's a bad idea, but I think you should put it into some perspective. It sounds like the judge just wanted his name in the paper.

And who the fuck cares if you steal from Wal Mart (besides Wal Mart, obviously)? I hate Wal Mart so much, I personally think those people should be rewarded for screwing them out of money.

So it's ok if you steal from WalMart, rather then a mom and pop shop? Stealing is stealing.

That's true. I just happen to hate Wal Mart. And economically it is a bit different. Mom and Pop shops don't have anywhere near Wal Mart's multi-national purchasing power. Plus independently owned shops tend to give their employees a decent wage and, if they're capable, benefits. Wal Mart offers no such benefits and pays their employees as little as they possibly can. All of that adds up to more money for Wal Mart and those who own and operate it (whom I can only assume are demons sent from hell). They're not going to feel the bite of a $7 shoplifter vs. a Mom and Pop store.

No, but for starters Walmart employs more people then those mom and pop shops do, plus enough stealing will lead to increased prices to the consumers.. You don't shop at Walmart anyway, so what do you care. In any case.. It doesn't really matter.

i like it. i mean stealing is stealing, so you can either deal with the laws in the books or you could have this as your sentence. who cares where its from, if you want rules and order, then it works across the board. fanything because it was only $7 or whatever this seems more appropriate because he is punished more for that item than wasting taxpayers money on something thats not worth it

Fuk them bitches.... If i was the judge, I'd sentence them to both... jail and embarassment!
