Ok...so my current TV is pretty much sucking out loud. The picture seems like it's stretching, getting bigger even though the screen isn't getting bigger (obviously). Any time there's a ticker at the bottom of the screen I can't see it and subtitles are usually cut off. Since I don't think I can fix the problem, I'm thinking about a new TV. Only a couple requirements...it can't be too expensive (I'd like to keep it under $400 or so) and it's gotta be at least 27". I don't really care if it's tube or LCD and HDTV would be nice but I realize that's pushing it a bit for the price range. Ideas?

I was using nextag.com and it looks like pretty much the same thing. Almost entirely LCDs...that's not bad, but they do tend to be more expensive.

Buy and LCD, we just got a 52inch LCD TV and its great. We bought a sharp, they seem to have the greatest picture.
