i was checking out some coilover kits and i was wondering if they would fit on my stock struts or if i'd need to buy new struts... and if they're gonna cause me problems in the long run

They type you are talking about are called coilover sleeves.
Yes they will fit on your stock schocks.. Depending at what height you use them, the shocks wont last very long.. You should get shocks for lowered applications
I would strongly suggest you avoid coilover sleeves. Too many problems involved.. Simply for being able to raise and lower your car as you wish..
If you absolutely must have CO, then get the full coilovers.. Those run close to 1k$.. Includes springs and shocks..
Still expect a bumpy ride, cause they are made for performance.

Coilovers are fine. ive never had trouble with them.. i got Tenzo Coilovers with my factory struts drops at 2". as long as you have them installed correctly and remove the dust sheild on your factory struts.. it will be ok.
Coilover work even better with after market struts. get a set of Tokico Struts (made for lowered cars). you can get them from any speedshop.
I had Tenzo springs before the CO and i switched to the CO just because i wanted to adjust the ride.. come to find out.. i adjusted it once when i first got them and never touched them again. hehe.
If you see yourself adjusting them all the time go for it.. else.. just go with lowered springs.

No, another option is to buy different springs which will lower your car more.

I take it you have Neuspeed sports if they aren't low enough... try Neuspeed race if you want lower... I think H&R race are 2"+... most race springs are low, but you also get a stiffer ride with that.
I have a question about coil overs. Since Coil overs give you the ability to adjust the height would getting a camber kit be useless? I mean I would have a camber kit if I had a static height from springs but with a coilover wouldnt i have different heights which would mess up the cambers??

Yes, you need to get an alignment when you change heights. Its good just to buy a lifetime alignment plan from firestone or somewhere for around $130
