that isn't really considered a tattoo..that is called Scarification. they actually remove the skin so that it scars over in the shape of whatever the artist/surgeon does

The pictures are sure nasty, but the idea is pretty old stuff. The two New Zealander security guards in my old high school had those over their backs (done with a hammer and a chisel/nail type of thing). Thats where this stuff came from, isn't it?

People do the worst things to their bodies.

The judgement at 25 to cut/remove parts of your body to look better will be interesting to see when they are 55.

Agreed. Does look cool, but I wonder how it looks after the healing.

I think it's cool. She's not hurting anyone (maybe herself), but it doesn't have any effect on my life. I think the end result looks cool. Nothing that I would do. But meh..whatever I guess.

A better way to do this is branding basically. Normally burns will leave heavy scars no matter how long they were left on the skin. All you need for it is to blister and that's enough.

I've seen articles of people doing this stuff with burning their skin with soldering guns on their backs. One of the guys made an Indian War Band on his back it looked pretty sweet.

i've seen what happens when someone branded himself.. it didn't look good at all.. it was all puffed out and disgusting.

I've never seen a burn scar that was puffed out. They always look like the normal skin just a different color. I guess it depends on the temperature and how long you leave it on there.

well he did it like straight brand style.. found a piece of metal, stuck it in a fire and then pressed it to his skin.. and it got infected so that might have something to do with it

A couple guys at the welding shop branded themselves long ago.

We laser cut a maple leaf, tigged a handle on it and they heated it up with a torch and done.

I'm gonna come up with a technique... I will call it "chiselfication". I will use wood carving devices...... beat that beecheees!
