Ok i am back now, i had some serious computer problems. i was switching to dsl and they had to redo my entire street and house for teh "new" equipment.

no robert she is not mine, a stupid mother dropped her off at my house because she couldnt care for her on her welfare check. (yes i am serious) she is 8 years old and amazing. i have had custody going on 5 months. (but she has lived off and on with me since november of last year) The horror stories i can tell about this childs life will amaze you.

Yeah...I still have it. It doesn't get driven as much as it used to. Gas prices are still too high to drive it every day. Besides, I've gone about as far as I can with it still being a street car.

stepped on a nerve there...... i understand trying to be devils advocate and all but i will have a single beer from a $9 6 pack i bought with a meal, and not get shit tanked. granted its alot of fun to get plastered, but thats all personal preference. if you have a problem with what it does to people say that, but dont hide behond the taste because thats weak. there are alot of people who dont like the "taste of the crap" but from every one of the experiences its a certian beer, or drink thats associated, or a few, or hell even most, but thats like saying i dont like the taste or fruit. too broad. ive had way too many bourbons, scotches, and beers to think they all taste the same. most the people who i know that like beer to "get fucked up" but not the taste see drinking as just drink a 12 pack of natrual light or old beast and see where the night goes. i activly persue new and rare beers, along with liquors and wines. now there are tons of people i know who like the taste of some of the, in my opinion, crappier beers, and thats their personal preference. theres nothing wrong with it and im not saying that they dont like the taste because they drink what i consider "party beers" (bud light, natty light, pbr, etc.) but because so many people do enjoy a variety of beverages, the market is huge and they can charge more(i.e. higher demand) for a rare, microbrew or import that some people find the taste of appealing.

to kind of sum up my point, if most people didnt like the taste but only liked the "experiece" then 151, everclear, and cheap light beer would be the only alchohol produced, or at least be a majority of the market. however the market is so big and so enclusive that to think the only reason to drink is to get drunk, and not to enjoy the drink your missing half the reason you bought the drink in the first place.

why are there wine magazines and wine tastings?

why are there micro brews that can charge alot more than their competitors but sell their competitors beer in their bar and still stay in the business of brewing their own?

why are there different grades of whiskey(bourbon, scotch) with prices ranging upto and over $200 for a one litre a bottle?

i understand you dont like it, but its a little naive to think everyone shares your opinion cause you think "it tastes like crap"



on that note imma go get my bottle of johnny walker gold lable down for a scotch and rocks to start the night, followed by a dogfish head indian brown ale for dinner. :)

ok there are a few exceptions to every rule and i did not say that it was a definate steadfast opinion...lol. i dated one guy who truly liked the various beers. i have no problem with whatever a person chooses to do, it doesnt effect me. i wish i had more time to go out but with a family we rarely get out to a an adult only place. the only thing i am deadset on is when a person drives intoxicated. and a pet peeve is when they use the excuse, "i was drunk".

All of this talk of beer is making me thirsty.. I actually do like the taste of beer now. I use to hate it, I really can drink one or two with dinner and be completely satisfied.
