I'm running pretty low my current stock brakes and I'm gonna need to get them replaced pretty soon. It'll cost about $150 bucks to replace the pads, resurface rotors, etc... Will it be a better idea to invest in some higher performance brakes; neuspeed, willwood, etc? What will they cost? Is it worth it, or should I stick with stocks?

do u want a new braking system or just performance pads. www.tirerack.com has some EBC greenstuff and they fork ok. Make sure that the rotors are nbot bent, warped or glazed befor installing the new pads otherwise will be a waste of money

I was thinking just performance brakes and rotors.
What do you mean by braking system?

changing only you pads and rotors will not increase braking performance... if you get cross drilled rotors it'll only cool it better when braking hard.. other than that its about the same stopping distance... pads are just nicer on the rotors and dont mess them up...and lil other minor stuff
but all in all it wont better your brakes performance wise

Oh well,

I just bought new metallic brakes with a lifetime warranty at firestone tires. It cost me an arm, leg, and one nut, but I'll never have to pay for brake pads again.;)

are you sure about that???
cuz pads no matter what will always wear in time..... hmmmm

No ish!!!
Of course the pads will wear down eventually, but I basically paid to have them replaced for free. Keep in mind that's only pads. If I ruin any braking mechanisms or grind any metal, I'm screwed. Basically, if my pads are down to 2mm, I can go in and get new brake pads. I'm sure resurfacing rotors and labor might be a small fee. Otherwise, brakes pads are free

ahh... now that makes more sense... the other post it seemed like you said that they dont ever have to be replaced....
i get it now;)
