I'm not sure if any of you have seen this yet or if there's been a post up about this, but I'll continue.

A few days ago I was at my girlfriend's house watching tv while she was cooking something in the kitchen and this commercial came up. It was this one girl meeting her parents after a long time has passed with her asian boyfriend. She pulls out this white phone looking thing and the parents call it a phone and the girl freaks out screaming and bawling her eyes out saying "I knew you wouldn't understand."

It's not a phone, but it's a flip open ridiculous invention that they have made called a Helio... It's strictly for accessing myspace and that's about it...

Am I just crazy or is this where people get too lazy to go to computers to do something...?

Looks like something for people who just can't bare to be apart from their myspace account. Then again, the company was probably planning a launch and included the myspace thing as a gimmick. Sure, it's lame...but you they'll make some serious money.

That's obvious. hah. But you think they could have made a better commercial at least... ffs myspace draws in the loads of money.

Umm the helio can do a lot more than go on myspace.. It's pretty much a phone-sized computer.. Games, music, videos, camera, phone..

It's not... just something that's going to make them money basically because they say myspace all over the advertisements.

exactly.

I believe Helio is a subcompany of Sprint. That ought to tell you everything you need to know.

I saw that ad and sighed.
