If you're about to get married and you've lived with someone and fucked them numerous times over the years, that whole "not seeing the bride before the wedding" bullshit goes out the window. My brother crashed here tonight for this reason and he's taking up my fucking bed. Fucking bullshit. Trust me, if you've filled her out like an application, chances are seeing each other on one particular night isn't going to fuck things up.

if it wasn't your bed i'd say put his hand in warm water, but you'd really be fucking yourself over if you did that.

Normally I'd agree, however...my brother wants me to get up earlier than I normally would to go do him a favor by being in his wedding. Then he comes over and takes my bed forcing me to stay up way to late. I didn't even get 4hours of sleep in and was just about dead on my feet all day (1:30pm until around 10pm). So yeah...to me it's not nothing, it's just plain rude.

On the bright side, the wedding is over. One girl fainted during the actual ceremony which is always good for a laugh and I got to see a lot of people I haven't seen in a long ass time. Oh yeah...two words...open bar.

I never feel right being at family events if I'm not sleep deprived, hung over, drunk or a medley of the 3.

I didn't sleep with my wife the night before our wedding but we didn't live together at that point though.

This is why you do it. The family.

Actually there wasn't a whole lot of family there. Sure...most of my close relatives were there, but they made up a small part of the event. My brother is a firefighter/paramedic and most of the guys/gals there were firefighters and their girlfriends. But for the most part (at least on my brother's side), the wedding party all grew up together. With the exception of 2 groomsman, I've known all of them for at least 10 years (one was her brother, the other was an EMT friend of my brother's).
