this my first post... i am buying an 06 honda s2000.... would like to go s/c ... but, would that stress the motor ,clutch, trans into an early demise ??? now of course you can do that simply by putting your foot into it all day, i know... i'm 45 years old and take good care of my things... i want a fun quick ride, but i don't want to beat the f**k out of it... so does s/c stress the motor or just give it more of what it loves ??? also, is that a good time to change out the exaust system both for breathing and for the tone ??? thanx all..... j

i would say it would only stress it depending on how big of a pulley.

No properly setup S/C system will really stress the motor unless you're putting out big boost. I'd say 6-8lbs non-intercooler...10-12lbs intercooled. Sure, you'll have some extra stress on things like the crank snout, but that's because of the blower belt and it's not a huge deal unless you shoot for a cog belt or something. S2000 motors seem to be really well tuned from the factory so I'm assuming you'd have to keep a good eye on the engine's state of tune with a blower.
